Table tennis-Sultan, Bristol extend win spree |24 October 2012

Like in September, Sultan defeated Achille Dodin in the men’s division one final. And like the last time, it was a close game before Sultan won 4-3 (8-11, 11-3, 10-12, 5-11, 11-4, 11-9, 12-10).

Compared to Sultan, Bristol whitewashed Laura Sinon 4-0 (11-4, 11-5, 13-11, 14-12) in the women’s top flight final.

The boys’ division two was won by Shawn Lai-Lam with a 3-2 (11-5, 5-11, 6-11, 11-7, 11-6) victory over Mario Lablache, while Darius Thomas settled for third place.

Philip Sham Hong earned a 3-1 (11-8, 11-5, 6-11, 11-8) win against Mael Youpa in the boys’ division three final. Samuel Larue finished third.

Belonie secondary school’s Zahira Khattab edged Anniessa Lépère 3-2 (11-9, 8-11, 5-11, 12-10, 13-11) in the final to take home the girls’ division two title. Third in this division was Emelyn Quatre.

Alexandra Tirant needed only three sets to beat Shanie Léon 3-0 (11-2, 11-1, 11-6) in the girls’ division three final, while Emma Ah-Wan also defeated Nisha Belmont 3-0 (11-8, 11-8, 11-7) in the division four decider. Third in this category was Kim Hoareau.
