Anse Aux Pins school council donates to pupils |31 October 2012

The council’s chairperson Sylvianne Valmont handed over the first batch of over 15 clocks to the school’s head teacher Inese Oreddy during a recent school assembly.

Welcoming the council’s initiative Ms Oreddy said the donation will be a great support for maths teachers and will also better improve pupils understanding when learning to tell the time.
“It is good to have the physical objects to illustrate when teaching as this makes teaching and learning more interesting,” Ms Oreddy said.

Mrs Valmont said the council is working on other initiatives to help improve learning and teaching at the school.

She noted that the school has around 18 classes and provision is being made by the council to get one wall clock for each class.

Both Ms Oreddy and Mrs Valmont have expressed their sincere gratitude to the sponsors and all the parents for their continued support and interest in the activities organised to improve learning and teaching.
