Minister St Ange and artist Camille Mondon at the launch of the exhibition

Camille’s Echo Exhibition, punctuated by a continuous flow of landscape, seascape and of local characters, 3D sand stones and craft objects, was officially opened by the Minister for Tourism and Culture, Alain St.Ange, on Friday last week.

Minister St Ange said that Camille’s exhibition, which coincided with the 2012 Festival Kreol activities, was timely.

He also hailed Camille’s artistic talent.
“Seychelles is proud to be blessed with a talented artist who is never shy to come forward to showcase his skills. Camille is an inspiration for all young Seychellois who stand on their own to accomplish their dreams,” said Minister St Ange.

Minister St Ange said that Seychelles is blessed with a natural beauty translated in a source of inspiration for Camille’s water colour paintings and 3D sand stones.

The works of Camille, he said, should inspire people to appreciate Seychelles’ natural beauty and its people.

One of the characteristics of Camille’s paintings is the attention he pays to details.
He was commissioned to paint for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Pope.
The exhibition will run until November 16.
