Appropriation Bill 2013-Budget Address today |04 December 2012

The Budget Address will mark the start of National Assembly proceedings on the Appropriation Bill 2013, which is proposing a sum of R5,412,155,000.00 for the next fiscal year.

The ministry with the biggest allocation remains Health (R496,186,000), followed by the Ministry of Education with R413,821,000.

A sum of R442,936,000 will go to benefits and approved programmes of the Social Security Fund while R714,753,000 will cater for transfers to the public sector.

The Budget Address will be aired live on SBC television and radio starting at 9am.
