Meanwhile, Auguste Louise and Laura Joubert are the male and female winners of last weekend’s tête-à-tête competition played at the La Promenade boulodrome.

Beau Vallon’s Laura Joubert triumphed over teammate Marie-May Savy in the women’s final. Third place went to Mont Buxton’s Sheila Chang Time.

In the men’s competition, Louise of the Tryers club beat Mont Buxton’s young Mario Dufresne 13-11 in the final and James Ernesta of Mont Buxton was ranked third.

Local petanque players will be in action again this coming Sunday in the open mixed triplette competition, scheduled to start at 9.30am at the La Promenade boulodrome.
