Fitch Ratings mission in Seychelles |16 January 2013

During their visit here they will be meeting Finance, Trade and Investment Minister Pierre Laporte, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, David Pierre, other senior officials of the government, parastatals and the private sector.

The Fitch Ratings delegates leave Wednesday.

Fitch Ratings is a global rating agency based in London and its rating provides an opinion on the relative ability of an entity to meet its financial obligations.

The credit rating of a national government indicates the risk level of the investing environment of a country and serves as a valuable tool for investors looking to invest abroad.

In 2012 Seychelles maintained its ‘B’ rating following Fitch’s assessment in January 2012.
