Marlin slam fishing tournament-Special K bring in biggest marlin to win top prize |26 January 2013

A 109kg blue Marlin earned the team, comprising Michael Mason, Alan Mason, Faizal Suleman and Ali Al-Harizi, the competition’s top prize, despite leaving three hours late due to mechanical problems.

Only two other teams – Stripper, led by Sony Parek, and Ushaka, led by Michael Arnephie – brought ashore a marlin each.

Organised by the Seychelles Sports Fishing Club (SSFC), the competition which carried a R250,000 price tag, was held in the name of sportsmanship and friendship.

The winners received their prizes during a ceremony held on Sunday at the Bravo restaurant.
