Football-Integral development programmes for managers and medical personnel

The courses are in line with the Seychelles Football Federation’s (SFF) new policy to accredit all team-registered personnel, which is also a requirement of the Confederation of African Football (Caf). The training programmes – which are for now targeting mainly first division teams – started last week with a course for medical personnel, while team managers started their training yesterday.

The basic football management course is a 15-hour programme designed to educate local football administrators and it focuses on how to manage local clubs, taking into consideration our environment.

Other than improving the management skills of all local administrators, the course is aimed at improving the organisational effectiveness of football management through good governance. It will also help to set up a management standard, create a long term plan and vision and also to better understand the SFF statutes and regulations.

The course covers areas such as planning, structuring, strategy, marketing and football organisations and their environment. It is being carried out by SFF executive committee member Georges Bibi, who is receiving the help of Damien Jean and Clive Delorié.

As for the training programme for medical personnel, it involved three working phases, precisely the introductory, intermediate and advanced levels, covering definition, classification and common structures of injuries. It was conducted by Balla Traoré.
