Air Seychelles thanks travel agents for loyalty |27 February 2013

The reception took place at the Salon Vallée de Mai, the Air Seychelles’ business lounge where members of the airline’s sales, marketing team and top management gathered in an atmosphere of conviviality.

In her presentation, Cindy Vidot, Air Seychelles’ head of sales, introduced the agents present to the airline’s new product and schedule for the Seychelles-Abu Dhabi-Hong Kong services, as well as an overview of the potential of this exciting new destination.
Cramer Ball, Air Seychelles’ chief executive officer, expressed his gratitude to the guests attending the event for all their hard work in selling the airline.

“I would like to personally thank all of you for your excellent cooperation and support throughout the years and I look forward to the same dedication in developing the Asian market further.  We hope to develop even closer relations in order to increase the number of Hong Kong travellers to our shores,” he said.

Mr Ball said that travel agents and tour operators will be the airline’s ambassadors to this new destination and the exciting network it offers through its partner Etihad Airways.
“I once again thank you for your trust and for believing in the potential of the Hong Kong destination and we are indeed encouraged by your presence here today,” Mr Ball said.

Shirish Dhanjee, managing director of Vision Voyage, said:

“We are very happy to be here and to learn that Air Seychelles has reduced its transit time in Abu Dhabi from Hong Kong to only one and a half hours. That is great news to us travel agents. I think the airline will do well on this route as traffic is huge on the Far East, and we give our full support.”

The evening ended with a raffle draw where six return tickets were offered on the Hong Kong route.

The first and second prizes went to Mario Didon and Veronique Moustache both from Mason’s Air and third prize to Maritza Leon from 7° South.  Each won two return tickets.
Air Seychelles will launch its services to Hong Kong on March 24, operating three weekly flights departing Seychelles on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

The flights will be operated by an A330-200 aircraft with a configuration of 18 Pearl business class seats, 236 economy class seats.
