Waso helps women to become entrepreneurs |06 March 2013
The training, initiated by the Women in Action Solidarity Organisation (Waso), was officially opened yesterday by its chairperson Rosemary Elizabeth at the English River community centre.
The workshop is being led mainly by consultant Giovanna Neves and is being funded by the European Union.
It forms part of the Seychelles Alliance for Women’s Development project being undertaken by Waso in partnership with FORMAPER, an organisation based in Italy.
Ms Elizabeth said the training will equip those women with the right skills and knowledge needed for them to start their own business and how to make it become successful.
She added that women have vital roles to play in the development of the country, and therefore called on the trainees to be more determined and committed in making this entrepreneurship initiative a success.
