Kenny Roberts new swimming chairman, Garry Albert replaces Ng as tennis boss

The new STA executive committee

Former national team swimmer Roberts was elected during the sport’s annual general meeting last Saturday.

Roberts, who was the vice-chairman, replaces Bertrand Belle who resigned at the start of the year after serving just one of his two-year term in office.

Mr Belle, who is now the principal secretary for economic policy and planning, had in 2012 replaced Mervyn Austin who had served the sport for two consecutive two-year mandates (from 2008 to 2011).
Marcel Antat is the new vice-chairman.

Ivan Roberts stays on as treasurer, Wendy Didon as secretary, Alain Alcindor, Dr Vaclav Soukoup and Anna Payet as ordinary members.

Meanwhile, Garry Albert has replaced Charlie Ng as Seychelles Tennis Association (STA) chairman. The sport held its AGM on Monday.

Mr Ng stays on the executive committee as secretary general, while former chairman Philip Brioche is the new vice-chairman. The treasurer is Carol Andriamaro.
Clyvie Delpech, Sylvester Delpech, Fatim Kanté and Zoltan Sugar are the ordinary members.
