Handball: Mohan league-Women’s defending champs Storm win, male contenders put on good display |12 March 2013

Fresh from winning the Challenge Cup and curtain-raiser match, Mont Fleuri Storm had little resistance from APC Sisters to win by a 22-point margin – 38-16 – on Saturday at the Palais des Sports.

In the other women’s match, Juniors ran out 16-12 winners against RC Diamond.

In the men’s league, a rejuvenated AC Brothers have once again proved they mean business this year.
After capturing the Challenge Cup with a 32-27 score against Super 8 late last month, AC Brothers took on PLS Hurricanes last Saturday and did not lose their focus as they came out with a 35-27 win.

Durantha Brothers showed no mercy for the inexperienced Juniors, steamrollering them 40-20.

The second round of matches in the league will be played with coming Saturday at the Palais des Sports.
