Read Aloud Day 2013-Le Meridien Barbarons team reaches out to Anse Boileau Secondary School

World Read Aloud Day is an awareness day advocating for literacy as a right that belongs to all people, celebrated around the world annually on the first Wednesday in March.

World Read Aloud Day motivates children, teens, and adults worldwide to celebrate the power of words, especially those words that are shared from one person to another.

To mark the occasion, the team from Le Meridien Barbarons hosted the Anse Boileau students in different groups, where they discussed the importance of reading and writing, and acknowledged that in Seychelles primary and secondary education are for free and compulsory, contrary to the situation in some countries where people are denied these rights.

The team also motivated the students to join the tourism industry through a presentation on the opportunities and benefits offered by the Starwood Company.
