NRA elects new executive body |19 March 2013

This was during the NRA-PAAS annual general meeting held on Saturday at the Roche Caïman community centre.

The meeting was attended by principal secretary for community development and sports Denis Rose and other officials from the department, district administrators and regional representatives among others.

Mr Rose expressed his appreciation for the association’s hard work and devotion and congratulated the outgoing executive committee members on the work done.
Alex Fideria was elected vice-chairperson, Militna Marie treasurer and Maggie Thomas secretary.

Others on the committee are regional representatives for the northern region Jourdanne Marguerite, central one Anne Barbé, central two Jocelyn Jumeau, inner islands Desite Ladouce, Selma William for the eastern region and Marline Baccus.

As there were no representatives for the southern region present, a meeting will be organised so that a representative will be elected.

Apart from the election of new committee members, amendments made to the association’s constitution, the treasurer’s financial reports and the outgoing chairperson’s report were presented.

During the meeting, members of the former committee were presented with a certificate and token of appreciation.
