Seychelles’ Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Marie-Louise Potter, signed the agreement with the Chargé d'Affaires of Georgia, Vakhtang Makharobilishvili, at the Georgian Mission.

During the discussions held, both sides explored the possibilities of establishing a double taxation avoidance agreement and a visa waiver agreement, among other accords conducive to boosting bilateral relations.

The two representatives also discussed ways to ease exchanges of representatives at both governmental and parliamentary levels and working together in the tourism and educational sectors.

The two sides were mutually apprised of ongoing efforts to modernise their respective economies, strengthen their democratic institutions and their aspirations to play a greater role at the international level to promote peace, security, development and friendship among nations.

Also in attendance were the minister counsellors of both permanent missions, Selby Pillay from the Seychelles Mission and his counterpart Giorgi Kvelashvili.
