Way forward for productivity improvement |23 March 2013

The following steps will also help to pave the way for increased productivity:

• Contribution of efforts by the social partners to push the productivity initiatives
• Good communication and information system, including strong promotion programmes to communicate, inform and motivate the public servants
• Introducing more national productivity improvement programmes at the School of Business Management, University of Seychelles
• Instilling a productivity minded culture into our work force
• Continuously improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the public service sector
• Inviting organisations with best practices to share their experiences and expertise with others for productivity improvement.
In conclusion, the Government can create favourable conditions to the efforts of employers and workers to raise productivity. It must be noted that higher productivity can come through the tripartite efforts of the government, employers and workers.  Only then will organisations and nation prosper.
