Exhibition brings more awareness on TB

The poster exhibition is aimed at bringing more awareness on TB

The exhibition, which aims at bringing more awareness on TB, will be open for the whole week and members of the public will be able to get information about the disease.

Communicable diseases control officer Justin Freminot, responsible for the TB programme, said a total of 21 TB cases were reported for each of the past two years.

He said Seychelles is playing an active role in the international campaign – Stop TB in my lifetime - which aims to find new ways to develop more effective and fast treatment for the disease.
Mr Freminot said so far no cases of Multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) have been recorded in the country.

He added members of the public can also visit their health centres to get information on TB as there are posters on display.
