Nine to plead next week in drugs-on-boat charges |01 April 2013
They appeared before Supreme Court judge Mohan Burhan who remanded them until April 10 when they are expected to say whether they are guilty of the charges or not.
The prosecution is being led by principal state counsel David Esparon and the accused include the owner of fishing boat Charitha on which the items were found, seven men who claim to be fishermen, and a mechanic.
Seven of the men were caught by the National Drugs Enforcement Agency officers on December 11, 2012 and the others later.
