Opener Natraj started their innings very aggressively with Gaurang. Natraj anchored the innings before he was bowled by Murray for 30 runs at the Roche Caïman cricket field. Suranga and Ravindra chipped in with 19 and 13 runs respectively, and the late explosive batting by Kiran took 777 to 127. He scored 35 runs with help of 2 sixes and 5 boundaries.
Murray was the best bowler for the Kings with his four wicket haul.

In reply, Kings lost early wicket of Tim, then Sajad joined Murray to rebuild the innings for Kings. Sajad was in very aggressive mood, scoring 48 runs from 34 balls (9X4,1X6) before he was bowled by captain Naidoo.

Kings lot their way in the middle due to some irresponsible batting, from 86 for 2 in 10 overs, they were bowled out for 120 in the 18th over. Kings lost their last eight wickets for 34 runs. 777 bowlers bowled well in the late overs and all their bowlings resulted with wickets – Naidoo and Suranga sharing 6 of them.

Summary – 777 – 127 for 9 in 20 overs (Kiran 35, Natraj 30, Suranga 19, Murray 4 for 13, Tim 2 for 18) beat Eden Island Kings – 120 all out (Sajad 48, Murray 18, Naidoo 3 for 22, Suranga 3 for 32)

Vijay ‘A’ stun Lakstars in big win 

Two of the strongest sides in Seychelles cricket clashed at Roche Caïman cricket field last Sunday afternoon for a second win.
After being sent to bat, Vijay ‘A’ opener Mahesh was bowled by Seychelles international pace man Dharma for zero in the first over. In the next over, Vijay ‘A’ lost their premium batsman, last year’s cricketer of year Arvind, for zero after Janaka ran him out on his own bowling.

Then Kaushal Patel, Seychelles national team captain, joined opener Lalji in the middle and steadied the Vijay innings with a 53-run partnership. Kaushal made 24 runs before he was bowled by Dais, then captain Dheeraj joined lalji and controlled the innings, but both fell on the same score. Then Mukesh and Manish batted with sensible aggression to take Vijay ‘A’ to 131. Sampath and Sugath shared 2 wickets each to help Lakstars to bowl Vijay ‘A ‘out in the 19th over.

Lakstars started the chase very promisingly. Seychelles internationals Janaka and Aruna, scoring 2 boundaries each. But Manish had other plans, and he bowled both openers in quick time, After that it was all about only one man – Dinesh. A career best 6 for 13 from right arm medium pacer helped Vijay ‘A’ clinch a convincing 69-run victory over Lakstars.
The only batsmen who managed to score in double digits was Nilan with 20 runs from 12 balls.

Summary – Vijay ‘A’ – 131 all out ( Mukesh 28,Lalji 27, Kaushal 24 , Sampath 2 for 12, Sugath 2 for 2) beat  Lakstars –  62 all out ( Nilan 20, Dinesh 6 for 13,Manish 2 for 17 )
