Court of Appeal begins April session today- Pirate skips trip home, stays here to appeal |22 April 2013

His petition is among 17 cases before the Court of Appeal which today begins its April session which will end on Friday.

“The others also appealed but abandoned their petitions when the choice of going back to Somalia to finish their sentences came,” a court official told Nation on Friday.
The pirate’s argument is that the Supreme Court erred in its judgment in accepting the evidence it was presented with.
