Karate-Shihan Celestine discusses Seychelles’ issues with WKF president

Messrs Celestine (right) and Espinos

Shihan Celestine met Mr Espinos in Lima, Peru, where he was on a mission with the Seychelles Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (Socga). A member of Socga’s executive committee, Mr Celestine, who is also the chairman of Seychelles Karate Federation (SKF), was attending the International Olympic Committee conference.

Among the issues Messrs Celestine and Espinos discussed is technical help for the SKF, whereby it has been agreed that WKF secretary Javier Escalante from Sweden, will conduct a two-day refereeing course on May 30-31.

All those interested in taking part in the refereeing course are cordially invited to contact any school affiliated to the SKF.
The two-day course will be followed by the national championship on Saturday June 1.

Shihan Celestine said he has been told by Mr Espinos to discuss any other issues with Mr Escalante and added that the WKF will help where possible because karate should be everywhere and should continue to develop and flourish.
