Free bus rides to Stad Linite on National Day |14 June 2013

The Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC) has said in a press release that travelling on all buses with signs displaying ‘Stad Linite’ will be free of charge. Such buses will carry passengers from their districts to Stad Linite for the parade and back home.

Buses will leave districts in south Mahé at 1.30pm and 3.30pm and will drop passengers at the parking space used for the park and ride service last year. They will collect passengers at the same spot after the ceremony.

Buses will leave districts in north Mahé at 2pm and 4pm. Passengers will disembark in the parking space next to the Sainte Anne Resort & Spa jetty, Roche Caïman. Passengers will board the bus at the same spot to go back home.

All departures from the two Roche Caïman spots will be at 9pm and the districts will be displayed on the buses.
There will also be shuttle service from the Victoria bus terminal to Stad Linite depending on load.

Speaking to Seychelles Nation, SPTC’s public relations officer Bernadette Sophola urged members of the public to make good use of the special bus services.
She added that after the 9pm departure there will be no buses available at Roche Caïman.

The SPTC has also called on commuters to respect the bus timings, the capacity load of the buses and to behave themselves properly on the buses for their own safety and that of the drivers.
