President Rajapaksa leaves after three-day state visit

President Michel seeing off his Sri Lankan counterpart at the airport yesterday evening

President Rajapaksa and his high level delegation were seen off at the Seychelles International Airport by President James Michel, Vice-President Danny Faure, Speaker of the National Assembly Dr Patrick Herminie, chief justice Fredrick Egonda-Ntende, the president of the Court of Appeal Francis MacGregor, ministers, and other key dignitaries.

Mr Rajapaksa was here on the invitation of President Michel who visited Sri Lanka in August last year.

Yesterday morning, President Rajapaksa attended a business forum at the Kempinski resort and spa, planted a coco de mer seed at the Biodiversity Centre at Barbarons and later during the day visited the Vallée de Mai on Praslin – a Unesco world heritage site. President Rajapaksa, who said he was happy with what he saw, was accompanied on his Praslin visit by Vice-President Danny Faure.
