La Plaine St André honoured top performing restaurant

La Plaine St André has been honoured the top performing restaurant by TripAdvisor

Only the top-performing 10 percent of businesses listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.
To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor, and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.

Richard D’Offay, managing director at Takamaka Bay, said: “La Plaine St André, the home of Takamaka Bay, is pleased to receive a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. We strive to offer our customers a memorable experience, and this accolade is evidence that our hard work is translating into positive reviews on TripAdvisor.”

La Plaine St André is a national heritage site under the portfolio of the National Heritage Foundation as a national monument. Trois Frères Distillery, the umbrella company of Takamaka Bay and La Plaine St André, won a tender to restore the property and run it as a distillery, restaurant and bar as of 2007. The property is also home to a herb and medicinal garden. The restaurant serves Creole dishes ‘with a twist’ and prides itself on an extensive cocktail and wine list.

“TripAdvisor is delighted to celebrate the success of businesses around the globe, from Sydney to Chicago, Sao Paulo to Rome, which are consistently offering TripAdvisor travellers a great customer experience,” said Alison Copus, vice-president of marketing for TripAdvisor for Business.

“The Certificate of Excellence award provides top performing establishments around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most – their customers,” he added.
