Girls overall winner MondonThe programme, which had been running from January, was completed last Saturday afternoon, where the gymnasts had the chance to showcase their acquired skills and compete against each other.

Samuel Valentin was in first overall for the boys while Jolene Mondon won the first overall prize for the girls.

The gymnasts showcase their talents in different events where their routines were judged and were awarded points based on their performances.

Despite their young age, they managed to give a good account of themselves which will be a boost to their development in the sport.

This competition signifies what is a new step for Seychelles gymnastics as the new federation, which is headed by Veronique Bertin, looks to revive the sport. With these young talents coming in to the sport, the future looks very bright.

The new chief executive officer of the National Sports Council (NSC), Giovanna Rousseau, was also present at the competition.
