Temporary road closure in Victoria tonight |08 November 2013

Some roads in Victoria will be closed today, Friday November 8, between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, as the Seychelles Hindu Kovil Sangam will be conducting a procession, the traffic section of the Seychelles Police has said.

The procession will start at the Navasakthi Vinayagar temple on Quincy Street and will head to Revolution Avenue, Harrison Street and Lodge Street before returning to the temple.

Motorists are asked to use alternative routes while the procession is on.

Drivers travelling from Beau Vallon to Victoria or vice-versa are advised to use the Bel Eau or Labourdonnais/Hangard Street to reach their destinations. Those going towards south Mahe should use the Bel Eau road.

Motorists going to or coming from Mont Buxton are advised to use the Union Vale road.

The traffic section of the Seychelles Police counts on the cooperation and understanding of all motorists.
