New comptroller-general announced at Ministry of Finance, Trade and Investment |16 November 2013

The Minister for Finance, Trade and Investment, Pierre Laporte, has announced the appointments of Damien Thésée and Irene Croisée as comptroller-general and deputy comptroller-general respectively.

The appointment of Mr Thésée, who was previously the deputy comptroller-general, fills the position left vacant in the Financial Planning and Control Division by the promotion of former comptroller-general Patrick Payet to principal secretary of finance in September.

Mr Thésée holds an Honours degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manchester and Ms Croisée completed a Masters degree in Applied Economics under the AUSAID Scholarship Programme in 2011 at Curtin University in Western Australia.

Marlene Valentin has been appointed as the new director of public budget management in Ms Croisée’s place.
Minister Laporte has congratulated all three members of staff on their promotions.
