Second human resource award launched |27 November 2013

The National Human Resource Development Council (NHRDC) has officially soft-launched the second Seychelles Human Resource Development (SHRD) Award.
The aim of the SHRD Award is to promote human resource development in Seychelles and to give recognition to the human resource departments for their hard work and dedication towards the development of employees in their organisation and the country.

Last year’s first Award, which ended with a cocktail in March this year, had five main criteria in which the winners had to excel. This year, however, in addition to the five criteria, eight new “Individual Awards of Excellence” have been added. This will give more organisations the chance to shine in specific areas of HR development where they are particularly good despite not having enough points to win the overall prize.

The SHRD Award is open to all organisations who wish to either gauge the level of their HR development practices, or who want to work with other HR sections in the country for the development of the Seychelles workforce and improvement of national productivity.

The prizes for this second edition will include scholarships among others and the categories remain as such:

•    Small public/parastatal organisations
•    Small private organisations
•    Medium public/parastatal organisations
•    Medium private organisations
•    Large public/parastatal organisations
•    Large private organisations
Organisations wishing to take part can contact Noella Baker on noella@nhrdc.sc or on 4423300 for an application pack.
