DSA’s International Bazaar set for this Saturday |04 December 2013

The Diplomatic Spouses Association (DSA) will hold its annual International Bazaar, its main fund raiser for the year, this coming  Saturday, December 7.

It will take place as usual at the National Library building from 9.30am to 3pm.

This event is well established in the Seychelles events calendar. It offers an opportunity to the public for buying Christmas gifts while tasting food and getting an exposure to different cultures.

“As in the previous years, we hope to get many countries participating and laying on a good fare,” a spokesperson for the organisers has said.

“In addition  we will also have the participation and support from hotels, ISPC, International School, and other local charities like the Soroptimist etc that are willing participants. The popular Raffle will be yet another attraction,” added the spokesperson.

The funds raised from last year’s Bazaar through public support, participation of private sector and individuals with generous donation has been allocated to support local causes as well as the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education.

The funds will also complement the Fisherman’s Cove generous donation raised as a part of Unicef fund-raising initiative to provide additional pediatric beds to the Ministry of Health.

“We recognise that without the support of our long-term partners -- including the Ministry of Tourism Culture, Ministry of Community Development, private sector organisations, who come forward year after year and the public who make the bazaar a reality -- we would be unable to fulfill our objective which has always been focused on making a difference to those that need a helping hand in the local community,” said the spokesperson.
