Budget Address on December 10
The Minister for Finance, Trade and Investment Pierre Laporte will deliver the 2014 Budget Address to the National Assembly on Tuesday December 10.
The Budget Address will mark the start of National Assembly proceedings on the Appropriation Bill 2014, which is proposing a sum of R5,400,510,000 for the next fiscal year.
The ministry with the biggest allocation remains Health (R535,401,000), followed by the Ministry of Education with R439,793,000.
Other significant sums of money will cater for benefits and approved programmes of the Social Security Fund (R530,064,000), social programmes from central government (R357,939,000) transfers to the public sector (R732,549,000).
