Seychelles congratulates Chilean President on re-election |20 December 2013

On behalf of the government and people of Seychelles, President James Michel has congratulated Michelle Bachelet, President of the Republic of Chile, on her victory in the election in Chile.

“On behalf of the government and the people of the Republic of Seychelles, it gives me greatest pleasure in conveying to you our most sincere and warmest congratulations,” said President Michel.

President Michel also expressed the hope of strengthening the bilateral relations which already exist between Seychelles and Chile:

“I look forward to a closer collaboration between our two countries in various multilateral organisations.

“I trust that the friendly relations that exist between our two nations will be further strengthened and that we will forge new partnerships in potential avenues of cooperation”.

To conclude, the President sent his best wishes to Ms Bachelet for her continued success in leadership, and creating solid partnership.
