Santa brings cheer to home’s and hotel staff’s children |23 December 2013

The children from the President’s Village and of the staff of the Constance Ephelia Resort received an early visit from Santa Claus this year.

This took place on Friday December 13 at the hotel’s Seselwa Restaurant where some 250 guests had gathered for an afternoon of games, dance, party and gift giving.
The atmosphere was full of joy and happiness.

It has become a tradition for Constance Ephelia to invite the children from the President’s Village every year together with the children of their staff to host this activity.

“Constance Ephelia takes great pride in hosting the children's party every year for their dedicated staff members who make a lot of sacrifices especially around the festive season being away from their family. Therefore, we open our doors to have their children with us around this special time,” said the human resources manager, Viana Roucou.

She added that it forms part of the hotel’s corporate responsibility to welcome and host activities for the community of Port Launay and that of the foyer.

“The Christmas party is among many activities that we organise for the community and the other activities include lunch for the elderly people, special visits by students and gift donations to the Port Glaud district,” she added.

Bettina Saffrance, a staff from the President’s Village, was grateful to the hotel for providing such a party to the kids.

“All the children look forward to come to this event and they know they will be well taken care of. Constance Ephelia has become a partner to help us take care of the children and this is really well appreciated by the staff and children of the village,” she said.

The Christmas party for the children from the President’s Village and of the staff of the hotel has become a yearly activity enjoyed by all.
