Four IOT workers retire |23 December 2013

The Indian Ocean Tuna Limited (IOT) organised a short ceremony this week to thank four of its workers for their years of service to the company.

IOT’s general manager Joram Madnack and other senior management members expressed words of thanks to Benjamin Jr De Luna Macatangay, Marie-Cecile Meriton, Jeanette Mancienne and Nadia Memée for their hard work and devotion towards the company.

They received a certificate and a gift each during the ceremony held at the company’s factory.

Mr Macatangay, who is from the Philippines, said he will not only miss the IOT team but Seychelles also as he has lived here for quite a number of years.

He joined the IOT in 1994 and had been working as the company’s process manager in the production department before deciding to retire.

Another employee from the production department, Mrs Meriton joined the IOT team in July 2008 and has been working as a fish cleaner.

After having clocked 18 years at IOT, Mrs Mancienne, an accountant from the finance department, has joined the group of retirees.

Mrs Memée, who has been the personal assistant in the general manager’s office, has worked for the company for 13 years.
