UniSey staff and their children join in tree planting campaign |27 December 2013

To end the year 2013 in a special way, staff members of the University of Seychelles (UniSey) with their children joined forces in a tree planting activity to support the campaign to plant 20,000 trees which was launched by the Ministry of Environment earlier this year.

This tree planting activity took place at the Constance Ephelia Resort at Port Launay in partnership with the hotel and the Ministry of Environment which provided the fruit saplings.
Once flourished the fruits will be donated to the President's Vilage.

The UniSey believes that instead of just having a regular party to mark the closure of the school year, the educational aspect of this tree planting activity would make the children present know how important the environment is and what they should do and encourage others to do to protect the environment.

After planting the saplings the children had fun at the hotel’s playground, after they had received a gift from Santa for their good gesture.

The accompanying photographs show the staff and their children in action during the tree planting activity.
