Canadian naval officer Andrew Webster died of asphyxia |07 January 2014

The police have reported that postmortem carried out on Lieutenant Andrew Webster, the 32-year-old Canadian navy who passed away on January 2, 2014 at a small tourism establishment in Glacis, revealed that he died from asphyxia.

What has caused the condition of asphyxia is still under investigation.
 
Lieutenant Andrew Webster’s body was discovered by his male colleague who together with a female officer had rented the place for their three-day visit in Seychelles.

A naval officer on board CHMCS Toronto, Lieutenant Webster and company arrived in Port Victoria on the December 31, 2013 and were supposed to have left on January 3, 2014. But because of the incident the CHMCS Toronto’s departure was delayed until yesterday.

Lieutenant Webster's body was repatriated back home early yesterday morning on a special flight.
