Ministry gets over R0.5 million worth of educational resources from partners |25 January 2014

A group of education partners have donated educational resources worth some R600,000 to the Ministry of Education.

The official hand-over of the resources took place yesterday at the Ministry of Education headquarters, Mont Fleuri in the presence of the principal secretary for education Merida Delcy, education partners, ministry officials, as well as other invited guests.

“In the context of the ministry’s main focus this year on the ‘Collective engagement for quality education for all’ this donation represents the forging of new and stronger partnerships with partners in our efforts to further provide and guarantee effective operation of schools and quality education for all,” says a communiqué from the ministry.

During the official hand-over ceremony, each of the donors presented a sample of their donation to the PS Delcy.

On behalf of the ministry and children of Seychelles, Mrs Delcy thanked all the partners for their generous contributions and expressed the wish that such partnership continue to strengthen during the years to come.

The partners who have contributed to the donation are Markarios, Print House, Victoria Computer Services, Shantilal Dhanjee & Sons, Island Motors, JD’s Stationery and Education Centre, Roy & Sons Import.
