Indian classical music group to perform tonight |28 January 2014

Following their highly acclaimed performance at a charity dinner organised as part of the Indian Republic Day celebrations, an Indian classical music group headed by Revathi Krishna will perform for the general public tonight at the International Conference Centre.

The show will start at 6.30pm and will go on until 9pm.

Tickets for the show cost R200 apiece and can be ordered from Sharath (tel: 2501048), Doris (tel: 2501029) and Katrina (tel: 2725014).

Proceeds from the show will go towards helping the people of La Digue affected by flooding due to recent heavy rains.

The idea for the fundraising show was raised during the charity dinner at the Asian Fusion Restaurant at the weekend by the Minister for Social Affairs, Community Development and Sports Vincent Meriton and the Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St Ange.

The idea received the backing of Ramu Pillay of Pillay R. Group who has already made the necessary arrangements for the show to take place tonight.

Members of the public are invited to attend and help toward a good cause, that is alleviating the plight of those affected by the flooding on La Digue.
