How to deal with dissatisfied employees

In organisations where there are a number of workers with different opinions, attitudes and values, employers will find that it will not be possible to please everyone at all time. In order to deal with dissatisfied workers, employers can adopt the tips mentioned below:

Employee relation

Good industrial relations can be promoted with staff by treating them with a firm but fair attitude.

Communication

It is important to communicate effectively with staff in order to identify the cause of their dissatisfaction. The communication should flow both ways and the employees should have a say in finding a solution to remedy their problems.

Rewards

Staff morale can be boosted by congratulating them for good work or by offering rewards which does not necessarily have to be in monetary terms but can be a weekend break at a hotel, dinner or gift voucher.

Micro-management

By allowing staff to complete assigned tasks and make decision without constant monitoring from their employers will give them a sense of empowerment and improve their work output.
