VP Faure awarded honorary doctorate |10 February 2014

Vice-President Danny Faure has been conferred with an honorary doctorate degree by Amity University in India, for his contribution to the world of education, finance and governance.

This took place at a special convocation held on Friday.

In his acceptance speech, Vice-President Faure paid tribute to the leadership role pursued by President James Michel in advancing the cause of small island developing states (Sids) within a new global architecture.

The Vice-President has dedicated his honorary doctorate degree to the courageous and determined people of Seychelles.

Mr Faure received his doctorate degree alongside Nobel Laureate Professor Yuan Lee and Vice-President of the Asia Development Bank, Bindu Lohani.
