Airtel Music Awards Seychelles 2013: Jury names finalists |24 February 2014

The names of the finalists of the Airtel Music Awards Seychelles 2013 were revealed by the selection committee on Saturday.

The jury panel of the Airtel Music Awards Seychelles has revealed the names of the semifinalists in seven of the eight categories.

Comprising music followers and professionals, the jury panel chose the finalists in the seven categories – Best male recording artist of year, Best female recording artist of year, Best new recording artist of the year, Best group or duet recording artist/s of the year, Best song recording of the year, Best traditional recording artist of the year and Best instrumental album of the year.
All artists chosen for the finals are asked to attend a very important meeting tomorrow at 4.30pm at the National Arts Council.

The eighth category – People’s Choice award – will be done through SMS and the organisers of the event have said that SMS voting starts today (Monday). All those who wish to vote should send the names of the artists to 9689. There is no extra cost and all phone numbers can vote only once.
Voters must ensure that the artist has released his/her work between November 1, 2012 and December 31, 2013.

Honorary awards will also be given out on the night of the ceremony on Saturday March 1 at the International Conference Centre.

The jury panel has been set up by the Airtel Music Awards Seychelles and the identity of its members will remain confidential so as to maintain the credibility of the awards.

Best group /duet (Collaboration recording of the year)

•    Telsy & Sandra        – Ladans Losean

•    Telsy & Mercenary    – Vreman Nice

•    Antoinette & Elijah    – Lanmour Danzere

•    Jahkim & Sandra    – Butterfly

Best song recording of the year

•    Philippe Toussaint    – Lemozite
