STC opens new construction material outlet |25 February 2014

Customers have another outlet to choose from when buying home improvement and construction materials.

Last week, the Seychelles Trading Company (STC) announced the opening of its new construction outlet on Bois De Rose Avenue (adjacent to Island Motors Company Limited).

A communiqué from the STC says the company has gone into retailing construction materials as it wants to diversify its services.

The communiqué adds that given the delay in finalising the outlet and the arrival of certain consignments of construction materials namely welded mesh, masonite, hard board, steel and pine timber, the STC has found it necessary to sell this selected range to the general public.

“As a result, the STC is currently undertaking temporary procedures to ease the retailing of the new materials as soon as all the containers have been completely removed from the port. Once this is done, the STC will inform the general public when sales will start. All payments for the new construction materials will be done at the STC Wholesale at STC headquarters at Latanier Road, New Port and the collection point will be at the Bois De Rose investment property (known as the ex-Cassis site at Bois De Rose),” writes the communiqué.

Customers will be able to conduct their purchases during normal wholesale operating hours and during weekdays (Monday to Friday) the time for collection of purchased goods will be from 9am to 12 noon and on Saturdays collection will be from 9am to 2pm. All purchased materials should be collected within 24 hours from the time and date of issue. Sales will be up till stocks last.

The retail operation of the new STC construction outlet is expected to be launched in May 2014 and will provide STC customers the choice to a much wider range of construction goods for their building projects, adds the communiqué.
