SNYC to host value-based workshop for Grand Anse Praslin secondary students |26 February 2014

The value ‘Respect’ will be explored during a workshop for students of the Grand Anse Praslin secondary school.

Organised by the Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC), this value-based workshop will be held tomorrow from 9am to 12 noon at the Grand Anse Praslin secondary school.

The workshop will help increase the knowledge of the targeted group of 50 students aged between 12 and 13 on this key value.

During the session, different themes will be explored such as what is respect, its relative importance, and how to practice respect at home, in schools and in the community at large.

The main facilitator of the workshop will be Beryl Dodin, counsellor at the SNYC.

There will also be the intervention of Father Simon from the Anglican Church.

This workshop forms part of the activities organised as part of the national ‘Values for One, Values for All’ programme launched earlier this year.

The value under the spotlight for the month of February is Respect.
