Seychelles in solidarity with China after Kunming terror attacks |04 March 2014

President James Michel has offered condolences of the government and people of Seychelles to President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China and to the victims and families of those who perished in the terrorist attacks which occurred in the city of Kunming on Saturday March 1.

President Michel deplored the acts and in his message stated that Seychelles unreservedly condemns the terror that was perpetrated against the people of Kunming and stands in solidarity with the People’s Republic of China at this time of great sadness.

“In the wake of this tragedy, we also renew our resolve to further strengthen our cooperation with like-minded countries such as China to eliminate the scourge of these acts of terror,” said President Michel in his message.
