Finalists to be rewarded on Saturday

Finalists of the Seychelles Women’s Community Award will be rewarded on Saturday.

They will receive their awards during a Women’s Day Ball organised by the Seychelles Women’s Day Association (SWDA) to commemorate the International Women’s Day.

The Ball will be held at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort and Casino starting at 7pm.

The Seychelles Women’s Community Award was launched in December last year by the SWDA. Closing date for the nominations was on January 20, 2014.

The SWDA received over 100 nominations from most districts as well as from different organisations.

The aim of the award is to recognise and appreciate the involvement of women who are making a difference in our local communities -- women who have their community at heart and work tirelessly and selflessly to make it a better place to live.
