This week in the National Assembly - Minister Payet to answer seven questions |22 July 2014

The Minister for Environment and Energy, Prof. Rolph Payet, will be answering seven (7) questions during this week's sitting of the National Assembly.

The questions relate to local flooding and landslides, frequent power cuts at Anse Etoile, efforts to mitigate coastal erosion at Anse aux Pins and the ministry's plans for the Plaisance district, in relation to its project to connect houses in Greater Victoria to the sewage system.

Additionally, one motion has been tabled for this sitting. The motion, put forward by proportionately elected member Sebastian Pillay, calls on the private sector to collaborate closely with the relevant ministry to develop a strategic plan with the aim of boosting local agricultural production for the benefit of Seychellois consumers.
