Miss Seychelles officially launches her healthy living project |02 August 2014

Miss Seychelles … Another World 2014 Camilla Estico officially launched her project aimed at transforming the lifestyles of four families in Seychelles, through healthy eating and living.

She launched her project at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay resort on July 30 – the day she celebrated her 23rd birthday – in the presence of Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St Ange, principal secretary for tourism Anne Lafortune, Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) chief executive Sherin Naiken and her deputy Nathalie Didon, her parents and close relatives as well as sponsors.

Addressing those present, Minister St Ange said it is a fitting day as Miss Estico celebrates her 23rd birthday to launch her project.

“It is encouraging to see our beauty queen taking the initiative to promote healthy living. I commend her choice of programme as I believe it is remarkable,” Minister St Ange said.

He added that the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the tourism board salute the approach taken by Miss Seychelles … Another World 2014 for her project.
Also present at the launch was Kirschlee Naidoo, a lifestyle nutritionist from South Africa, who is helping Miss Estico with her project. He gave an overview of the project along with the beauty queen.

Speaking to the members of the press who were present for the launch, Miss Estico said she needs four families for her project and for the moment she has already selected the first family to take part.

The project will take a period of 15 weeks to complete, with Mr Naidoo coming down to Seychelles every four weeks to monitor and make changes as and when needed. Families who will take part will be sponsored their meals and Mr Naidoo will liaise with them in regards to other aspects of their daily routines for the project.

Miss Estico is calling on other families who are interested to take part in this healthy living project to contact Lisette Morel of the events and conferencing department at the STB.

To end the ceremony, Miss Estico, who was wearing a long colourful dress sponsored by Quatre Epices for her birthday and was surrounded by her family and other guests, cut a cake made especially to celebrate her 23rd birthday.
