Housing estates: PMC urges residents not to abuse of common facilities |02 August 2014

The Property Management Corporation (PMC) is calling on all its housing estate residents to help it maintain and preserve all facilities on the common areas on its housing estates.

PMC says it has seen an increase in the number of cases of misuse and abuse of facilities and infrastructure on its housing estates (such as breaking of meter room doors, dumping of rubbish in meter rooms and acts of vandalisim on electrical facilities on the common areas).

“These irresponsible actions are costing PMC a lot of money to maintain and repair those facilities,” says a press release from the corporation.

PMC said Ile Perseverance is one housing estate where such abuse has been reported.

“Residents need to understand that those facilities are an integral part of the development because they provide services in all the units hence they should be protected and used responsibly,” adds the press release.
