Cat Cocos & Rockit present Zoli Seychelles |02 August 2014

As of yesterday, passengers of Cat Cocos taking the route Mahé-Praslin and back are discovering a brand new onboard programming, Zoli Seychelles, that aims to provide more information and to make their trip more enriching.

The new video was officially launched by Guillaume Albert, general manager of Creole Travel Services at La Plaine St André on Thursday evening.

Zoli Seychelles is produced by Rockit and the first series was sponsored by Cable & Wireless. The Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St Ange was also present at the launch with other business representatives.

“It has been a few years now that the management was working on changing the onboard programmes in order to contribute in making the experience of the tourists unique. It is not simply a mere set of videos but a set of high-end lifestyle series that aims to provide informative, locally produced entertainment of the highest standard for its clientele while creating an excellent platform for local businesses to promote themselves on,” Mr Albert said. “It will also showcase the lifestyle of Seychelles including the various places to visit, the school life and other aspects of Seychelles,” Mr Albert said, adding that every three months the programme will change.

“We are working hard to make it an original tool to increase the visibility of Seychelles,” said Mr Albert.  

He noted that between 900 and 1,200 passengers use the Cat Cocos ferry daily and whenever there is a connecting flight, 65% of the passengers are tourists.

Zoli Seychelles is being produced by Rockit Pty Ltd and is being presented by former Miss Seychelles 2012, Sherlyn Furneau. Each episode of Zoli Seychelles focuses on the finest of where to stay, what to do and where to eat here in Seychelles.

“Using state-of-the-art equipment and the latest filming trends and techniques, Rockit delivers a programme which showcases Seychelles as the splendid world class destination that it is. Rockit Pty Ltd. is a freshly established advertising agency consisting of marketing experts, award winning filmmakers, photographers and producers. Along with Zoli Seychelles, Rockit has also produced a number of local documentaries, adverts and PSA's which will also play out on board Cat Cocos ferries. Each programming schedule will be updated with new local adverts and a new episode of Zoli Seychelles,” said Roxanne Bennett, co-founder and managing director of Rockit.

After viewing the videos onboard, the public are invited to give their feedback and suggestions to the management of Creole Travel Services.
