MCSS marks opening of hawksbill turtle season |29 September 2014

The Marine Conservation Society of Seychelles (MCSS) is organising an event on Thursday October 2 at 8.30am to mark the opening of the Hawksbill turtle season on Mahé.

This will include a beach clean of rubbish, natural debris and removal of extra coconut seedlings at the south Mahé beaches of Anse Grand Police-Anse Cachée.

This activity will be very beneficial for the sea turtle and will surely help in facilitating their nesting as well as creating conducive environment for them to nest.

For the event the MCSS is getting help from the Ministry of Environment and Energy and The Wildlife Clubs of Seychelles and hopefully some members in the community of Takamaka. To know more on MCSS log on www.mcss.sc
