SBC Vibes Cable Tune Awards November 29 |18 October 2014

Organisers of the SBC Vibes Cable Tune Awards show have said this year’s fourth awards ceremony will be staged at the Espace building.

Speaking to Seychelles Nation yesterday, Terry Servina of telecommunications company Cable & Wireless said the show is slated for Saturday November 29 and is going to be “a big open air party”.

He added that the show, which is expected to last two hours, will see live performances and playback.

The Relation band will accompany the singers on the night.

The local artists will be looking to win the following awards: Best single, Best female artist, Best male artist, Best collaboration, Best duo/group, Best video clip and Best-selling artist for cable tune.

Last year’s Best collaboration award went to Reggie and Extra with the song Trespas. Donn ou Bal sung by Jahkim won the Best single award.

 KJ and Xtra won the awards for the Best duo/group with their song Ma pe cal ou. Best female artist was Telcy and Jahkim won the Best male artist award.


The best video clip award given for the first time last year was won by Gilmer Peter Philoe who directed the video clip for the song Donn ou bal video sung by Jakim.

The Best-selling artist for cable tune award was won by Champion.

The prizes will include album recording and studio time for the lucky winners.

Vibes is a Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) musical programme sponsored by the Cable & Wireless Cable Tune.

The organisers have said that to spice up the soirée, a new prize will be awarded this year. It will be given out to the best performer on the night.
